In the fourth and final semester of the ABSN program, you’ll participate in an intensive clinical Capstone course, Clinical Role Transition (CRT). During the CRT experience, you’ll be working under the guidance of an experienced nurse preceptor for 120 hours of concentrated clinical experience. CRT provides you with the opportunity to further refine your nursing skills, take an active role in the management of patients assigned to you and your preceptor, and contribute as an integral member of the health-care team. The CRT experience takes place in one of a variety of clinical sites and specialty areas, including medical-surgical, critical care, pediatrics, or community nursing.
