From the start of the first semester and throughout your four semesters, you will work on online-coursework, studying with or without members of your cohort. Under the supervision of clinical instructors, you also will immediately begin work on mastering nursing skills and techniques in a lab setting to prepare you for real nursing practice. Starting in the second semester of the ABSN program, you will begin clinicals, working with instructors and cohort members across different areas of nursing practice.
In your final semester, you will work with a nurse preceptor during your Clinical Role Transition capstone course to gain 120 hours of clinical experience while actively managing patients and preparing to become a licensed, practicing nurse.
